Pill Project Resources
Pill Project (Patient Education Video). Soon you will receive a photograph of a pill. That will be your personal project for the semester. From the information you learn in class, you will create patient education material for a specific use (indication) of that medication. Your video can be a recorded presentation or a powerpoint or a combination but must include the following: (1) the indication for the medication (2) how the medication works on the microanatomy of the nervous system, (3) how the medication works on the macroanatomy of the nervous system, (3) the advantages and disadvantages of the medication as compared to another mediation in a similar class. Think about what YOU would want to know about the medication. I’ll provide links to the information, but the bulk of your job is to create a plain language summary of the information that a person who has not taken this class could understand. The project is worth 50 points. You will be graded on the completeness of your content, how easy it is to follow and understand your project, your project’s creativity, as well as professionalism and mechanics.

INTAKE REPORT (30 points)
The presentation is due via Bb on March 31 at 11:59pm. Your assignment is to examine the way an autobiography portrays psychopathology. You will write up an intake report by using the sample one provided on Blackboard and upload an audio of you presenting your client (audios should not be longer than 5 minutes). There is a penalty for long and for late recordings. Missing from your presentation should be the final diagnosis. We will discuss this during the Grand Rounds part of class.

GRAND ROUNDS PRESENTATION AND CASE CONSULTATION (10 points for the presenter 10 points for consultation)
Starting after the presentation is due (March 4th–date subject to change) you will answer questions regarding your “client.” Each person will get 2 points a day for the diagnosis and the presenter will get up to 10 points for their presentation. Your points will be based on your ability to answer questions.
